How's firefly's days so far?
They're going better now. Just took my second round of teaching exams this past
weekend, so now it's relax, but stress until I find out if I passed or not.
Also kinda happy because I'll get to sleep in my room again after tomorrow...
I've been bumming it on the couch this past week cuz my grandmother was staying
with us. :-P How bout you?
Firefly will pass her teacher's exams!
If you don't just try again until you get it.
Going with renovation this post month or so and it's still not done yet.
My mom decided to throw away every furniture including my bed and now I have
no place to sleep except in the sleeping bag I've bought at some sports
shop.
It's kind of fun sleeping in a sleeping bag!
It feels like camping, but only indoors.
And now I need to get myself a tent...
Quote by IronSerpentUnfortunately,
AVG is becoming less effective. It is so widely used, that malware writers are
testing their bits against it now to improve their chances of getting by it. The
same happened with McAffey and Norton, as well as a few other now-useless AV
systems.
As for Ubuntu Linux, it was a very slight joke, a single phrase in two
paragraphs; hardly something to get so worked up over. And, just to continue the
off-topic paragraph here, what you said was spoken like a person who has either
never used any Linux distribution, or has not used on in the last six or seven
years. Don't buy into the MS hype around it -- a clueless user can use several
Linux systems without ever having to touch a bit of code (of these, Ubuntu tends
to be the easiest).
As for a virus on a Linux system? There are currently no viruses or other
malware that work on a Linux distribution in the wild. There have only been a
very small handful (less than a dozen, actually) that were created to actually
be used, as opposed to proof-of-concept malware developed in secure labs. The
few bits of malware that exist as an actual threat are so outdated, they barely
work on modern Linux distributions any more, if they work at all.
Furthermore, the Linux kernel (Linux is not an OS, it is an OS kernel, much like
Windows is the OS, not the OS kernel) is designed so that the most any bit of
malware could ever do without being given express permission by the user
(something that a clueless person would be unable to give) is mess up the OS
partition. As long as the user opts to put their data and OS on separate
partitions (the default for most Linux distributions nowadays), all the user
would have to do is reinstall the OS; their data would still be sitting there,
happy as can be, on a separate partition without ever even knowing the OS got a
virus.
So cut the FUD crap! Very few Linux
distributions are difficult to get into any more. Please do a little bit of
research before spouting off about how bad the Linux-based OS's are, and please
do even more research before going on
about how bad the Linux kernel
is.
Anyway, I agree: enough off-topic chat. If you want to debate further, start a
new thread about it, or send me a PM.

I've downloaded the newest version of Ubuntu, but somehow I can't seem to run it
on my motherboard. Why? I have no idea but others who has the same board works
fine and bios is the most up to date. There is beta bios at the site but I'll
wait until it gets finalized.
So as of now it look like I'll have to wait for the newer bios, skip Ubuntu
or
go with alternative linux distributions such as Suse or Sabayon.
I like Sabayon because the 3D effects runs from the live CD
before you actually install the OS into your HD.
There is also Linspire (Lindows) but you have to pay for it.
Quote by tiki223hee hee hee, have enough
sleep lately?
Oh, man... not even! And what makes it even worse is that I
haven't even gotten a chance to watch any more of your drama! It's just been
really hectic around here lately... we've been doing a lot of remodeling on the
house and I've been busy with work... It
was especially bad this week cuz my Supervisor took a couple of days off and one
of them, my co-worker called in sick, which meant I had to run the store all by
my lonesome! My boss came around 2:30 so that I could take my lunch break, but
it was still NOT a fun day at all.
How've things been going on your end? Hopefully not nearly as tiring/stressful
as mine!
Wow I thought the place you work has like over 250,000 employees but to find out
the number of people working similar to my workplace really tells me this is
indeed a small world.
One thing about low number of employees in a store is at least you won't have to
change your attitude all the time depending on the co-worker you talk to and to
treat your co-workers for a drink at least you won't have to empty your bank
account.
If you bought BK 31's Cappuccino Blast for 250,000 of your co-workers and the
drink cost $5.00 each, then it would cost you $1,250,000!
As for how thing going on my end... Last week was the longest I've ever
experienced!
It was so long that by the time the week has ended my dog's hair grew so long he
looked like a walking carpet!
And now here I'm again... it's Monday! Oh well at least I hope it week wont' be
as suffering as the last and I do need a god damn vacation! And so should
you!
Damn MT really has to change their resolution policy because all of the lovely
wallies you created looks like thumbnail icons if I put them on my desktop and
If I stretch it, it become pixelated much like as if you zoom way too close to a
image with Photoshop.
Does Ryonaka mind if she creates a wallie that would fit nicely on a 2005 inch
widescreen TV?
It's only 10 meters (32feet) high by 50 meters (164 feet) wide.
Creating a wallie on that would be simple right?
I mean how hard can it be?
Oh dear, just what I need... more things to keep
me up late at night... Watched the first half hour of the first episode... looks cute! I thought the
title of the drama was kinda weird before watching, but I'm looking forward to
seeing how this one goes.
oppps
How much coffee do you need, I'll ship them to ya.
Rest is more important so if your tired you can alwasy watch it tomorrow.
As for that title it's a direct translation from Chinese.
The English title for it is: Sonria Pasta.

Truth be told, I never really watched a full episode of Beavis and Butthead...
lol. But I do agree with you that games are not solely to blame for violent
behavior. Parents need to be more attentive to their children's behavior. If
they have violent tendencies the parents should try to find out the deeper
reason why-- because more often than not it's not due to a video game. The video
game is only an outlet for the frustration or anger that their child is
feeling.
Banana cereal puff? ehehehehe... *gives you a chocolate instead*
I saw on food network once where are chef made some spicy chocolates.
Ahhh chocolate from Firefly! Yay!
Thought you might want to check this out.
One of my favs.
In each individual person's mouth lies their own unique type of bacteria called
the S. Mutans. These bacteria eats the sugar we have on our teeth and produces
acid which eats away the tooth enamel thus making it cause tooth cavities. A mad
scientist with a white suit and no hair took the S. Mutans bacteria and modified
it so that it produces less acid. He then took it and test it on his subject's
mouths, but unfortunately his test subject's native S. Mutans took over so it's
a lost battle, but the war ain't over yet. Back to the drawing board he took
many types of S. Mutans and put them into a fight to see which one reigns
supreme and in the end only one of them survived. He then took the only
surviving S. Mutans and decided to use himself and his 2 lab mates as test
subjects and the winning S. Mutans quickly took over. But with this much
tinkering it did not survived for too long so that's strike 2! One day eureka
struck him and he borrow a gene which is used to make Mexican beer. The results
was it didn't make the native host drunk enough, but when tested on lab rats the
modified S. Mutans bacteria protected their tooth from eroding while being feed
with high sugar diets which would normally already destroy their teeth.
So how is firefly doing eating enough candies lately?

LOL! That would be super awesome, but I fear that I would get very fat if that
ever became a reality. Haha... tiki, I can always count on you for interesting tidbits.
I heard about that story, but I never go a follow up on it. Thanks for the link!
LOL what a way to do payback. I remember the day when Sony's Rootkit was
discovered and
all the music artist albums from Sony BMG got a 1 stars.
Anyway back to this gaming thing... I find it annoying that people say game
promotes violence, nudity, sex, or other types of behaviors parents don't want
their children to have. The first game violent game I ever played when I was 15
was Solider of Fortune. The game contains graphic content when compare to
today's Mature rating games it's make them look like it's suitable for 3 year
olds. And look at me, did I go out and started a rampage or a killing spree? No,
because I knew it's just a game! The real problem is parents are not taking care
of their children enough to tell them what's right and wrong, but they can't be
blamed for everything because it's also up the child itself to make the right
decision.
You watched Beavis and Butthead haven't you Firefly?
If you did, then did you grew up to be violent or do the things the characters
did?
I believe not and look you graduated with high honors. Now does that
say?
Watching cartoon or playing games that promotes violence is not true. In fact it
make people smarter and wiser.
Now where is that banana cereal puff that you still owe me?

Interesting show... I"ll have to make sure that I always keep my phone ON

And I'm sorry... I've been back from vacation for about a week now. I do have

get things straightened out with your phone!
They just took a couple of minutes and they got my phone working again!
All they need was my cell# and name, so I was in and out no more than 5 mins.

Quote by fireflywishes Oh darn... guess they finally found my 400
leech accounts. But
seriously... some people really need to get a life.
And how're things going on your end? I hope that 2008 is treating you well so
far! I'm actually pretty stressed out. Not sure if you heard about it, but on
Friday California got hit by a super huge storm system. As a result, my
workplace got flooded. Spent the greater part of the day soaking wet with a mop.
And this week we've been trying to do inventory... in addition
to getting more rain and electrical problems in our other store.
A huge storm?! The only thing I remember vaguely was there was going to be snow
in Nevada and it's over 10ft high! As for that day the manager should have let all of you go home. Speaking of
flood I remember a huge flood at my workplace 2 actually. 1st was our basement
was flooded and we have tons of important parts packed in cardboard boxes that
was left on the floor instead of on the metal racks. So a co-worker and I went
down but, we have no way of getting across cause the boxes was all the way on
the other side! Luckily there was a small wooden plank and a hose that was on
the floor, we stepped over those and manage to grab a wooden folded table and
use that as a raft to paddle us to the other side to grab those boxes.
The other was my workplace 2nd floor pipe burst and we have a nice personal
"Niagara Falls".
The situation was so bad that after turning off the main water valve all we can
do is try to dry up the place as much as we can. And I remember the most
stupidest thing I've ever done in almost electrifying myself to death was to
actually go and unplug those surge outlets that was flooded with sparks flying
out of its sockets and the cord was scorching hot!
As for stress... Try not to think too much, be happy, and eventually stress
won't take over you.
If that does not work just grab a frying pan, go out on the streets, scan for
one of your victims and charge at them while screaming out at the top of your
lungs.
Also it's never hurts to be prepared, so that's why my messenger bag I got my
umbrella, flashlight, batteries, inflatable life raft, microwave, oven, tent,
grenades, candles, fire crackers, and so on... X3
And one last thing not sure if you have heard about it, beginning in February
2009 the FCC is turning off the analog single for good and they head over to
digital broadcast. The gov is providing a $40 coupon for a digital converter box
for those that still has those granny TVs.
Hmm... it looks like firefly is still on her lovely vacation.
So one day as I got bored of counting the number of rice in a 10 pound bag, I
went to
YouTube and found this
clip. After looking at it, I've decided to secure my PIN number, but the
problem is the my cell already has a preset PIN which I have no idea what that
is because the dealer has never told me. Then I've decided to start pressing a
few random numbers as well as the one in the clip and after 3 attempts the
phones locks! Then I thought to myself, no big deal, just shut it down and turn
in back on, but nooooo after turning it on, this time instead of asking for my
PIN number it now asks for a "PUK" code. "PIN, PUK, WTH, TIG,
BBQ"?!
Trying to get my cell back online, I search the web for what "PUK"
means. And it means, "PUK" stands for
"Pin Unlock Code. It says a
"PUK" code is required after the user fails to enter its PIN number in
a certain amount of tries. The PUK code also has its limitations, if the user
exceeds the amount of tries your "PUK" code provides, then you will
need to get a new simcard because instead of just locking your phone it also
fries your simcard. How nice is that!? Now to get your "PUK" code you
will have to call your service provider which is a PITA, but luckly my service
provider open a store in my area so I've went there and told them what happened
and they unlock my phone for me free of charge!
Still they did not tell my what my PUK code is!

I can finally set off. Where am I going? To see my grandparents and relatives at

I think I got on the very last minute before it went offline and the last thing I remember doing was reading Kuromisa's or one your blog entries that was on the front page. After a refresh on the webpage then it went poof. Oh well no more Junkii but at least there is still MT so no biggie.
Man you're so lucky! I wish I can go on vacation, may I go with you? Please! Pretty please!
Me want to go too! lol J/K
Actually I had a vacation planned out was about to go like in august of this year but things came up so I'll have to wait till the middle of next year before I can finally set off. Where am I going? To see my grandparents and relatives at overseas which I haven't seen for so long that they may have probably forgot that I existed. hahahahahha!
Happy holidays and a very very very happy new year!
Have a safe trip and have tons of fun!
P.S White snow is edible
Yellow, brown, or other color snow are not. :P

Do you mind reminding me cause I can't remember diddly squat!
Thank you!
